Moodboard of the month // March

March is one of the busiest times of the year in the Dubai PR world and, whilst all of the events going on are undeniably glamorous and enjoyable, the sheer frequency of them means that down-time is at an all time low. Throw in the graphic design evening classes that I'm taking and it's practically non-existent. This morning, however, and I indulged in a big breakfast in bed and a wander along the alleyways of the web, with no real agenda - absolute 'me-time' bliss.

Delicate rings, retro swimwear and cosy attic rooms were some of the things that caught my eye...

Warehouse whispers

It was a over a month ago now, but here are some of my favourite photos from Capital D Studios' fifth birthday party! Hosted at their warehouse space in Al Quoz, it was off-the-grid yet pulled in a crowd who are ever-searching for that something different in Dubai. A 'glam-urban' event, it attracted local fashion designers and bloggers aplenty, all Instagramming away, models sipping drinks, numerous boys with beards and girls in leather. VOSS water only. Free-flowing cocktails. A dancefloor into the early hours of the morning. This is Dubai doing cool.

Top: Forever 21, Skirt: Vintage, Shoes: Pull & Bear, Belt: H&M, Necklace: H&M.

I don't have the energy to write  or think any more today, so i'll just get straight to the point. Here's an outfit. I wore it to a bloggers event at Purobeach Urban Oasis a couple of weekends ago, the skirt is a new vintage favourite, the heels are the next best thing to this Alexander Wang pair and the hair is now subtly ombré (sombré, yes apparently that's a real phrase)!

Unfortunately that's all you're going to get out of me tonight but I'll be back before long...

Vintage clothes & flower crowns

Blogging in bed, with a cup of tea and Laduree macaroons, won out over drinks last night and I finally made the time to sort through the reams of photos I've taken recently. This collection are from last Saturday at The Market of Everything in Safa park, an event organised by The Archive Library & Cafe, where I set up shop for the day. Whilst the vintage clothes and bags were a hit - everything from Levi's cutoffs, to a silk Moschino skirt, to leather satchels - the real surprise lay the popularity of my fresh flower crowns! Vintage Bloom very kindly provided me with the gorgeous flowers and I enlisted some friends (who I don't think quite knew what they were getting themselves into!) to help me craft personalised crowns throughout the day. Word spread across the market and within a couple of hours there were flower-adorned heads dotted all around the park, nudging their friends my way. I hardly had time to eat, drink or sit down but it was one of the lovliest days I've had in a long time - sunshine, friends, vintage and flowers... all ingredients for my dream day!

I'll keep you updated on any similar events that I'll be at in the future, I could definitely make a habit of this!
