My stud affair - Episode 1 [Wedge trainers]

I know wedge trainers have been around for a while now but I've been um-ing and ah-ing about whether to embrace trend, before eventually deciding to go for it!
I was tempted to buy these ones from Zara, which are adorned with gold studs, but I wasn't all that keen on the laces for some reason - I wanted them to be more like the Isabel Marant version, with velcro straps
I then stumbled across these very plain ones from Bershka, which rocked a significantly lower price tag, and snapped them up. Unfortunately they've just been taken down off their website but I am certain they are still in stores. If not, check Topshop as they have a very similar pair (I also love these oxblood coloured ones!)

Anyway, seeing as everyone seems to be sporting these hi-tops at the moment, I wanted to personalise mine and make them a bit more unique. I didn't go too wild (as I still want them to be easy to wear with everything) but these studs definitely do give them a bit of an extra "oomph"!

If you want to do this yourself...

You will need:

Wedge trainers

Studs (ask your local haberdashery for some or have a look on eBay)
E600 glue
Cotton buds

Method:

1. Apply E600 glue to a cotton wool bud (remove the cotton from the end first)

2. Transfer the glue to a stud

3. Place the stud onto your trainers and press down hard

4. Repeat with the rest of the studs until your design is complete

5. Leave the glue to dry for 15mins at least

6. Wear your trainers and look fabulous!

[Please excuse the terrible state my nails were in that day!]
