Lob it off

Today the time had come around again for me to go and get my hair done. I only go every few months  - for a half head of highlights and a trim - and that lasts me a while as, my natural colour is an ashy blonde anyway so my roots are never bad. I've found a really great hairdresser, Vera at Purity salon in Dubai, who gets my colour just right and actually sits and considers my face shape and hair type before reaching for the scissors, which I find is very rare.

I've been wanting to get rid of my layers for a month or so now, predictably inspired by other bloggers' styles like Jessica's from Tuula and Emily's from Cupcakes and Cashmere. Ideally, I want it to be a bit of a longer lob (long bob) but my existing layers meant that I had to get it shorter. I do really love it though; I think its neater, more grown up and makes my thin hair look more full... all good things! I know having a blunt cut is going to be much more high maintenance than a layered style, but I am quite excited to experiment with waving and curling it. Isn't it great how a simple haircut can completely re-vamp your look (and life?)!

⌃⌃ I'm going to tell you more about this outfit tomorrow, stay tuned ⌃⌃
