Spiked PVC bracelets // DIY

Image Des

I spotted a roll of thin plastic last time that I was at FIDA and ended up buying a yard, with no project in mind, but I just had a feeling it would be useful. This DIY occurred to me a couple of days later and here you have it! The transparent plastic is a bit of an interesting twist on the black leather studded bracelets that are everywhere right now and, in general, plastic PVC is having it's time in the limelight (have you bought a see-through clutch bag yet?) so this is an easy nod to the trend.

Here is what I used...

And this was my method...

Try to space the holes out evenly. You could use a tape measure/ruler and mark down exactly where each hole should go, but I'm not a huge perfectionist so I just judged it by eye and it turned out good enough for me!

Ideally, you should use a push stud or a popper to close the bracelet but, seeing as I didn't have either of these to spare, I just used another screw spike. It's a bit fiddly, having to unscrew it every time I want to take the bracelet off but it'll do the job for now.

So there you go! Easy enough, right?
