Top: Forever 21, Skirt: Vintage, Shoes: Pull & Bear, Belt: H&M, Necklace: H&M.

I don't have the energy to write  or think any more today, so i'll just get straight to the point. Here's an outfit. I wore it to a bloggers event at Purobeach Urban Oasis a couple of weekends ago, the skirt is a new vintage favourite, the heels are the next best thing to this Alexander Wang pair and the hair is now subtly ombré (sombré, yes apparently that's a real phrase)!

Unfortunately that's all you're going to get out of me tonight but I'll be back before long...

Vintage clothes & flower crowns

Image Des

Blogging in bed, with a cup of tea and Laduree macaroons, won out over drinks last night and I finally made the time to sort through the reams of photos I've taken recently. This collection are from last Saturday at The Market of Everything in Safa park, an event organised by The Archive Library & Cafe, where I set up shop for the day. Whilst the vintage clothes and bags were a hit - everything from Levi's cutoffs, to a silk Moschino skirt, to leather satchels - the real surprise lay the popularity of my fresh flower crowns! Vintage Bloom very kindly provided me with the gorgeous flowers and I enlisted some friends (who I don't think quite knew what they were getting themselves into!) to help me craft personalised crowns throughout the day. Word spread across the market and within a couple of hours there were flower-adorned heads dotted all around the park, nudging their friends my way. I hardly had time to eat, drink or sit down but it was one of the lovliest days I've had in a long time - sunshine, friends, vintage and flowers... all ingredients for my dream day!

I'll keep you updated on any similar events that I'll be at in the future, I could definitely make a habit of this!

The Market of Everything

Image Des

So here's something fun: I'm going to have a stall at The Market of Everything this Saturday! It's an event organised by The Archive in Safa Park and they'll be putting on a BBQ and live music, whilst independent sellers and small businesses are going to set up camp around the park. Sounds great right? At my stall you'll find vintage clothes and accessories, that I handpicked in London, as well as a few of my handmade flower crowns. I'm also hoping to make some crowns with fresh flowers on the day so stay tuned to hear more about that. Fingers crossed this bout of Dubai rain passes over the weekend and I hope to see you all there!

Until next time // London

Image Des

Having never left Dubai in the winter before (!) I decided to change things up this year and headed to London, keen to bring in 2014 under colder skies. The nine-day trip featured chunky layers and heeled boots, warm festive treats, grown-up dinner parties, not-so-grown-up tequila shots, hungover David Attenborough marathons, cocktails in The Shard, pints in East London and eggs benedict in Leicester Square, kisses, catch-ups and copious cups of tea!

^^ Avocado eggs benedict from Jackson + Rye, a dreamy little cafe & bar that I would definitely recommend popping into! ^^
